Hailie Jade’s McClintock reveals he asked for Eminem’s

Hailie Jade’s fiancé Evan McClintock shared some inside details about how he planned to propose to Eminem’s daughter.

In the latest episode of her podcast, Just a Little Shady, Evan revealed he first thought about proposing to her last summer at Lollapalooza in Chicago, where Hailie was going to broadcast her second episode, via Entertainment Tonight.

Evan also revealed that he had asked Eminem for his blessing before popping the question, and that proved to be a mission.

“It was over the holidays. I was just looking for an opportunity not to make it too obvious,” he recalled.

“I saw your dad go downstairs and [thought], ‘Alright. I got to do it right now or I’m not doing it today. I’m going to have to schedule some other time. So, I just followed him downstairs and thankfully, he was just down there, grabbing your [birthday] cake.”

Throughout all of this, Hailie said she had zero clue that a proposal was in the works.

He also detailed how Hailie’s half-sister helped him pick out the perfect ring.

“I kinda knew what I was after for your ring. Thankfully your sister helped me out there,” Evan said.

Hailie revealed she never told him what kind of rings she was into, but it was her sister who “really helped [him] out and basically told [him] what not to get. He added that Hailie’s sister pointed him in the right direction, but he was starting to panic.

“After I ordered it we were at my family’s and we were all talking about rings and I think you mentioned you had no idea what you wanted and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I just ordered this ring. She’s saying she doesn’t know what she wants,’” he shared.

Eminem’s daughter took to her Instagram on February 6th, 2023, to announce that her long-time boyfriend proposed to her and she said yes.

Sam Claflin talks ‘learning’ to ‘be rockstars’ with Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough

Sam  Claflin detailed working with Riley Keough, who co-stars in the upcoming miniseries Daisy Jones & the Six.

Keough plays a singer in the show, whereas in real life she comes from a family of musicians, being the daughter of late Lisa Marie Presley, who was the only daughter of legend Elvis Presley.

Claflin, who plays co-lead band singer Billy Dunne alongside Keough, heaped on the praise, sharing how the two learned how to be rockstars for the first time together, despite Keough’s musical roots.

“In truth, I couldn’t have asked for a better teammate,” the Hunger Games actor, 36, told People. “As much as she had that reputation in her family genes, she didn’t come with much musical experience herself, so the two of us had each other to lean on in that way.”

He continued, “She just never carried that pressure with her. You wouldn’t know. And honestly, I had to kind of keep reminding myself that her granddad is Elvis Presley. She’s honestly just a joy to work with, like a genuine friend and someone I really care about.”

During the Amazon Prime Video series’ premiere Thursday night, February 23rd, 2023, Keough revealed that her husband Ben Smith-Petersen will make an appearance in the show’s second episode.

“I don’t want to like spoil it, but the producers thought it would be funny if he was in that scene,” Keough, 33, told Entertainment Tonight. “They were like, ‘Do you want Ben to do this?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s hilarious.’”

While the actress did not reveal much about the cameo, she did mention how “exciting” filming the show was after over a year of music rehearsals.

“I mean, it was amazing because I’m passionate about music and we had rehearsed for a year and a half,” she said. “So, by the time we got to the stage, it was very exciting and we were all just like thrilled to be able to test out the thing we’d been practicing for so long and it was wonderful.”
