On its fourth day in theatres, Tiger 3 managed to stay over the Rs. 20 crores mark. The film brought in Rs. 21.25 crores on the day when Bhai Dooj helped it in the morning and then the World Cup semi-finals impacted it in the evening. Of course, this is a drop of more than 50% in numbers when compared to the previous day when Rs. 44.75 crores had come in. However, it was inevitable.
When a film collects as much as other biggies in just 3 days and that too on an odd day release, it shows what’s the kind of value that’s been put on it. No wonder, the coming together of Salman Khan, Spy Universe franchise, third in the series of Tiger films, Yash Raj Films as the producers, Katrina Kaif being the female lead all over again and Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist have ensured that the film is getting excellent footfalls daily. Also, not to forget director Maneesh Sharma, who may have got mixed response but then has delivered.

Prior to the release of Tiger 3, there were 10 films which had entered the Rs. 100 Crores Club, the last in the list being Dream Girl 2 [Rs. 104.90 crores]. It has been pushed out of the list due to the arrival of Tiger 3 on the scene, but its contribution to keep the flag high for Bollywood during all this time can certainly not be ignored.
